Youtube Keep Asking if I m There to Continue Music

Does it stop the media when minimized? If yes, you could try deleting site data.
Also, try disabling "Continue running background apps when Microsoft Edge is closed" under System in Settings to completely stop Edge when closed.

Hi Paulo GM, thank you for trying. Other findings suggest that Edge is designed to stop most of its activities when minimised UNLESS you set it to always run in the background. I am hoping there is a convenient way around this, as described in my question. I will update my question to avoid preemptive suggestions.

I'm sorry if that didn't help resolve your concern. In my case, I use the insider version of Edge and the music hasn't stopped even when I minimized the browser and the option to run in the background is disabled. I tested this on Youtube and Spotify and the media hasn't stopped so far. You can try this version if it will work on you.

Some posts refer to recent "Edge Chromium" versions behaving the same as my Edge 44.18362.449.0.
Beta and Preview versions not for me, but thanks anyway, it does seem like the only "work around" may be to find another browser. At the moment it's not a critical issue for me, I still use IE for YouTube and when IE is completely kaput, perhaps I'll re-think browsers across all pros and cons.
Thanks also to Microsoft for all their amazing development and support work over the years.
